We have an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team as a Payments Assistant at our Sunderland Head Office. The post involves processing high volumes of invoices to allow for timely and effective payments to suppliers.

The applicant will deal with day to day enquiries, ensuring an uninterrupted supply from our suppliers and to provide business continuity.

The applicant will have responsibility for completing monthly supplier statement reconciliations ensuring the accuracy of the data and to resolve any issues efficiently and effectively.

Your working week should be balanced with what you need to do and where you need to be to deliver your role the most effectively.

Input/scan purchase invoices to finance system.
Invoice processing to ensure efficient and prompt payment.
Supplier statement reconciliations.
Payment processing.
Supplier account maintenance.

What we are looking for:

Demonstratable experience of working in a financial environmental with process knowledge of purchase ledger.
Experience in adhering to compliance when following financial processes.
Experience in dealing with internal and external customers.
Experience of housing associations and/or large organisations is desirable not essential.
