    Description

    Definition:
    To work within the Quality Team to ensure the manufactured products meet the quality standards required and meet the customer expectations

    Overall Purpose Of The Role:

    Responsible for ensuring that the products manufactured meet drawings and quality standards to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.

    Responsible for identifying and raising quality issues and for speedily resolving them to ensure zero impact to the business and customer.

    Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all business and customer requirements.


    Key Responsibilities:

    General And Task Management:
    Manage all quality related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)

    Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective and preventive actions for product quality issues along with monitoring effectivenessWork with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standardsCarry out product and process auditingEnsure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintainedMonitor and report on quality related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring and rework levelsMonitor and report on Supplier Key Performance IndicatorsLiaising with customers on First Article Inspection and Factory Acceptance Tests Contribute to continuous improvement activities Write reports and present progress at meetingsAttend various meetings and action/communicate instructionsPlan projects or sub tasks so they may be tracked and presentedPeople Management:
    Lead and/or support groups of operators in any quality initiativesBe a team player

    Relationship Management:
    Support regular meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving qualityCommunicate efficiently throughout the shop floor Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providersSelf-Management:Comply with the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental PoliciesAssertive, resilient, optimistic and welcomes changeEngages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others Proactively contributes to the teamShows openness and honesty in all dealings

    Skills And Attributes:
    Knowledge of quality systems and measurementKnowledge of ISO 9001 : 2015 and TS 22163 : 2017 (not mandatory)

    Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processesA strong skillset in inspection and measurementA meticulous approach and strong problem solving/root cause analysis skillsExercise substantial initiative/judgement in work methods and interpreting goalsSelf-motivating, work independently with minimum supervisionPlanning and prioritising activitiesAbility to work in a fast paced, diverse, environment Good communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communicationAbility to present data effectively and accuratelyTeam working skillsUnderstanding of cost and financial impactsQualifications and Experience Levels:
