    As a Supply Pipe Mapping Technician, you will play a crucial role in accurately measuring and recording newly installed service supply pipes from the main to the point of entry at customer properties. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing Smart meters, contributing to our efforts in ensuring efficient water supply management.

    You will liaise with the program's key stakeholders, contractors and third parties to work towards a solution and drive improvements.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Conduct property visits in a professional and courteous manner, representing Severn Trent with integrity and respect.
  • Take ownership of recording customer supply pipes as assigned by Planners and approved by the Supply Pipes Team Lead.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of electronic GNSS mapping devices, syncing them with company mobile phones for accurate data collection.
  • Record supply pipe information meticulously in line with our GISST maps system, while keeping customers informed of the significance of your visit.
  • Adhere strictly to Green Recovery Supply Pipes Standard Operating Procedures to ensure all work is conducted safely.
  • Maintain all company property, vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose, reporting and replacing any defective items promptly.
  • Consistently achieve company targets associated with the role, while providing exceptional customer service and working efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service is essential.
  • Operational or field working experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with customers and problem-solving.
  • Strong safety consciousness to prioritize the well-being of oneself and others.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Possession of a Blue Card and NRSWA certification is advantageous.
  • Full clean UK driving license is mandatory.
