Description
This is a permanent role, based in Ilkeston, DerbyshireWorking directly with the Project Managers / Design Managers and Quality Manager to actively support the design, procurement and construction process on multi-million pound gas and oil projects.
This role could provide a route for further career development in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Information Management.Document Control - You will be the owner of the project document registers, systems, and processes.
You will manage and control the flow of documents and information on projects.
Using Microsoft Software Packages including SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
Receipt and logging of project documentation, maintaining document registers and numbering system
Quality Assurance - Work closely with the Quality Manager to compile Quality Data Books
Project Controls -Assisting the Project Manager in the production of weekly and monthly reports
Updating Project Programmes using Microsoft Project (training provided if required)
Collating cost information/time sheets to support the commercial team
Project/Design Management
Maintaining Project Action trackers and risk registers (Microsoft Planner)
Be responsible for ensuring the Project Managers are supported in a consistent, standard way in line with company policies and project procedures
Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Project
More than 6 years experience as a Document Controller / Technical Assistant in an engineering company.
Familiar with project workflows and working within the design, engineering or construction industries.
Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
Proficient with other MS Office software, Excel and Word etc.
Clean UK Driving licence
