Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.


We are currently recruiting for a Toolmaker to join the team at our Mason Pinder site based at Thorne, Doncaster.

This role is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday, 8:00am until 4:00pm.


Responsibilities & Requirements:


  • Manufacture, modification, repair, and refurbishment (up to 15 tonnes) of tooling across the business.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing new tooling from Detailed drawings.
  • Good understanding of CNC and EDM machining
  • Using recognised problemsolving techniques to analyse tooling problems.
  • Hot runner electrical and installation knowledge.
  • Ability to follow Technical detailed drawings and instructions.
  • Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer (C&G)
  • Time served Toolmaker
  • Flexibility to work between the various sites if and when required.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Carry out manual handing tasks.
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
