    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and committed Teacher of Physical Education to join our successful Physical Education Department from August 2024.The ideal candidate will ideally have a football focus and be expected to run and develop the schools' existing football programme.

    The PE Department comprises a total of ten full time and part time members of staff, a full time Director of Rowing, a part time Strength and Conditioning Coach and an excellent coaching team.

    The department is well resourced with excellent facilities including a purpose-built sports centre on campus and our site at Goldenacre which houses several rugby, hockey and astro-turf pitches.

    We aim to provide a safe, inclusive place to encourage positive relationships through the teaching and learning of PE and sport.

    We also offer opportunities for those who aspire to achieve excellence in sport, sporting academics and improve vocational potential.

    Physical Education is taught through Core PE to all pupils from Nursery to S5 and a Games programme that encompasses P5 to S6.

    In S3 pupils have the option to choose National 5 PE, progressing on to Higher PE in S5 and S6.

    The department runs an extensive extra-curricular programme which the applicant would be expected to contribute to throughout the weekand on Saturday mornings, this may include organising sports days and other events.
