Description

I am currently looking for a Registered Nurse to work in a school in a large town in Greater London.

This is a full time role working up to 40 hours per week that could be split into 3-4 long days weekly.

As the Nurse you will be expected to assess,treat and deliver care whilst focusing on improving the pupils health.

That could include creating induvial care plans for students within the school with long term conditions, teaching them about health preventionand screening.

Some of your responsibilities will include Advise, support and, where appropriate, under guidance from the Lead Nurse and administer vaccines for patients travelling abroad.

You will be based in the Medical centre situated in the campus. In addition to the Lead Nurse, the medical staff comprises five nurses, one school doctor and one sports doctor. The centre is open 24/7 with one nurse/paramedic being on duty overnight.
- ? Previous experience in either practice nursing or school nursing

Knowledge of child protection procedures and confidentiality issues
Knowledge of child growth and development
Band 6/7 NMC registered
Dual qualification RN/Child Branch
Demonstrable ability to work autonomously, using own initiative, plus the ability to make sound clinical decisions independently if required
