I am working with an established accountancy firm who is continuing to grow.The firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work who provide staff with challenging and varied roles.
You will be working with a friendly growingteam, working directly with the directors, managing your own portfolio of clients.
From day one you can expect to work on an interesting array of clients from a wide range of industries.
This will be a well-rounded role, providing the chance to get involved in a broad variety of tasks as well as helping to grow and the develop the practice.
As you will be joining the firm at a key time in its growth and development, there is strong potential to demonstrate your potential and be awarded with additional responsibility and career progression.
You will be responsible for;- Preparing statutory and management accounts for clients
- Assisting with business development activities to attract new clients
- Liaising with other colleagues to ensure all client work is completed accurately, within budget and on time
- Work closely with clients to continuously develop their internal systems
- Training clients in use of their accounting systems whilst implementing best practice bookkeeping systems
- Carry out bespoke system projects agreed with the client
- Preparation of VAT returns
- A very strong emphasis is put on the advisory side of accountancy and you will be expected to provide value added advice to your clients on a regular basis
- Strong statutory accounts experience and sound accounting, corporate and personal tax and VAT technical knowledge
- Must have good time management, organisational skills, interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients therefore needing a client focused attitude
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and flexible in approach Experience in a range of software packages, in particular cloud accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage 50 Maintain high professional standards of conduct and practice
- Understand need for continuous learning and development
