Oncology and Haematology PharmacistAckerman Pierce are looking for a Senior Oncologyand Haematology Pharmacist to provide a first class clinical pharmacy service to the oncology department and chemotherapy day unit.
The role will include providing a comprehensive and patient centered service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients.This role provides a unique opportunity for flexible shift patterns, great pay rates, access to weekly pay and the ability to work in various clinical settings and departments.
What you'll need as an Oncology and Haematology Pharmacist:Experience as an Oncology Pharmacist
Abide by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards of conduct, ethics and performance as well as standards for registered pharmacies, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligation
Provide a comprehensive and patient centered clinical pharmacy service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients at Cromwell Hospital in accordance with the hospital's objectives in order to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of drugs.
To act as a specialist oncology pharmacist and provide a patient focused clinical pharmacy ward service to the oncology ward and chemotherapy day unitEnsure safe management of oncology electronic prescribing system and appropriate management of introduction of new oncology medicines
To communicate information relating to medicines management within the oncology setting to clinical colleagues, nurses, independent prescribers, carers and patients.
Attending and actively contributing to oncology MDTs and ward rounds. C, MHRA, Home Office and hospital SOP standards.Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
Member of General Pharmaceutical Council
Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
Broad clinical pharmacy background including ward-based work
Recent and significant experience of UK aseptic services, oncology and chemotherapy services.
Membership of the British Cancer Services Pharmacy Association
