    Selexa Biotech are exclusively partnered with Thermo Fisher Scientific in the search for a new Automation Engineer; a pivotal role within the engineering function. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a successful and high performing engineering team, supporting key production and automation strategy.

    Position Summary:

    Working with relevant Managers and Department Heads to generate automation strategies for existing and future business product lines.

    Responsibilities:

    • autonomously to generate, report on and deliver project plans for all own engineering activities.
    • site and corporate important metric measures, including customer management, ensuring actions are completed on target.
    • expertise and steer new product introductions on automation engineering topics to define activity required to deliver the automation strategy of the project.
    • technical support on automation issues to the engineering and operations teams to resolve unplanned maintenance issues.
    • continuous improvement automation projects to improve reliability of site equipment
    • out crucial periodic software reviews to guarantee compliance with all regularity bodies
    • offer mentorship and expertise to the engineering maintenance team in problem solving issues associated with site wide utilities, including, be not just restricted to purified water, pure steam, and calibrated equipment.
    • cGMP is applied in the work area and aligns with cGMP through following site SOP's
    • mentorship and support to a small team of engineers, to ensure compliance with site wide preventative maintenance schedules.
    • to empower, communicate and lead their own team and multi-functional teams to deliver project timelines

    EH&S:

    • emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work.
    • compliance with environment, health and safety rules, signage and instructions at all times.
    • prompt reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications/Experience:

    • degree qualified and/or with advanced, shown experience in PLC controlled production facilities.
    • in Allen Bradley PLC programming from first principles as well as advanced fault finding in both local control environments and network systems.
    • project management background within, for example, production engineering, process engineering within a regulated environment
    • problem solving capabilities with urgency to resolve
    • facing experience preferred.
