My client is a Legal 500 regional law firm and are looking to recruit a Senior Mental Capacity Lawyer at the Senior Associate - Legal Director level to join their nationally renowned Court of Protection team, specializing in supporting clients with acquired brain injuries and managing high-value financial settlements.
This is genuinely an exciting time to join their Chambers and Partners ranked team as the need to recruit is due to a period of significant expansion whilst the team continue to secure challenging and high-profile cases.
The award-winning court of protection team is involved when a person is assessed to lack mental capacity to make decisions for themselves. The team primarily specialise in supporting both adults and children who have lost capacity as a result of a traumatic brain injury.
As a replacement hire, you'll step into the shoes of a senior lawyer with expertise in managing complex applications to the Court of Protection and can expect to manage a diverse caseload and to supervise more junior members of the team and contributing to the collaboration of the wider team across the region is also to be expected. The majority of their clients have experienced catastrophic events resulting in brain injuries, spanning from young individuals to those later in life.
The successful Court of Protection Lawyer will have demonstrated experience in managing individuals' property and financial matters and experience in supporting clients with acquired brain injuries.
Due to significant growth, this role can be based in based in either their Exeter, Bristol or Plymouth office.
