Support Worker

Company description
SSG provides temporary accommodation and support for people sleeping rough in Manchester across three Locations

To develop individual led client support plans, while managing a case load of service users under the guidance of the senior support worker and feedback any housing management issues.

To provide administrative support to both senior support workers, and service managers.

They will be required to engage with external services regarding housing management tasks, while working within the GDPR framework and following SSG policies and procedures.

As a Support Worker, your duties will include:

Knowledge of the housing, welfare and benefit system
Signposting service users to external agencies
Monitoring service users rent payment
Maximizing benefits (Universal housing, Housing benefit)
Adhering to service standards, policies and procedures
Administrate and organize own work, to ensure that it meets quality targets and deadlines
Assessing needs of service users during onetoone support session
Agreeing, developing and actioning support plan to clients needs
Liaising with external services
Responsible for ensuring health and safety check ups
Report daily activities to Senior support worker
Such other duties and responsibilities SSG deems commensurate with the post.
Ensure the highest levels of customer service to all residents, visitors and contractors and be the first point of contact for all queries during your scheduled hours
To interact in a positive and friendly manner with people, including those with mental health needs, and be passionate about working in a service that supports vulnerable adults.
An ability to work overtime when required
Be adaptable and flexible in your attitude and reactions and be able to problem solve quickly to new situations that arise.

Starting £11ph

Currently part time 5pm-8pm (Mon-Fri) - With plans to go full time in next 12 months
