    I am pleased to be partnering with a prestigious London based company as they look to hire an experienced People Partner to join the team on a permanent basis.

    Role responsibilities

    • Engage regularly with key stakeholders to address personnel challenges across departments, providing coaching and support to implement effective HR and management practices.
    • Assist departments in achieving their objectives by offering guidance on various HR aspects, including recruitment, training, absence management, disciplinary procedures, change management, diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging initiatives, and fostering continuous feedback.
    • Foster a company culture by promoting expected behaviours and contributing to the fulfilment of the companies mission.
    • Prioritise the recruitment and retention of high-quality staff, with a focus on safeguarding, diversity, equality, equity, and inclusion.
    • Coach managers and offer advice on resolving potential issues informally whenever feasible, while also providing guidance on formal procedures when necessary.
    • Manage employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and adherence to best practices.
    • Drive initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
    • Ensure compliance with UK Visas and Immigration regulations and oversee right-to-work matters.
    • Develop and update policies and procedures, keeping staff informed of relevant changes.
    • Identify training needs at individual, departmental, and managerial levels, and organise cost-effective training sessions or design in-house programs. Manage the online staff training system and ensure high completion rates.
    • Coordinate the induction program for new staff.
    • Enhance the HR website and intranet pages to ensure accessibility and relevance.
    • Oversee the annual submission of Higher Education Statistic Agency (HESA) staff data.
    • Collaborate with the HR Systems Adviser to enhance the iTrent HR information system, meeting reporting requirements and ensuring accurate payroll data.
    • Engage with trade union representatives as necessary to achieve positive outcomes.
    • Undertake any additional duties within the job's scope and purpose, as directed by the Head of People Operations.

    Must haves

    • Experience of delivering proactive positive HR solutions to managers and staff across the full employee lifecycle in a similar organisation.
    • Experience in coaching and mentoring staff at all levels on HR best practice, policies and procedures.
    • Strong ER case experience.
    • Strong experience of drafting documents for formal processes, policies and reports.
    • Experience of the full recruitment process from interviews to contract documentation.
    • Experience of producing and managing training plans.
    • Experience of driving performance through creating and providing regular management information metrics/reports.
    • Experience of managing HR change processes and working with unions.
    • Knowledge of employment legislation including UK Visa and Immigration requirements, and application of good generalist HR practice.
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
    • Confident and clear communication and influencing skills (both written and oral).
    • Ability to deal tactfully, confidently and sensitively with a wide range of people.
    • Solid IT skills including the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
    • CIPD level 5 (as a minimum)
