    Post: Locum Appointment for Service at fy2 LEVEL in Obstetrics & GyNaecology – 3.0wte posts

    3 x FY2 level posts is available until early August 2024. This post is based in the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital, and the successful candidate will join a team of 17 junior doctors in providing day-time and out-of-hours care for obstetric and gynaecological inpatients. There will be involvement in assessing admissions, organising and collating test results, and completing discharge summaries. Doctors on this rota are supported by Consultants and Specialist Trainees.

    There is good opportunity for attendance at Out-patient Clinics (Antenatal and Gynaecology) and assisting in theatre. The amount of exposure to Out-patients and theatre will depend to some extent on the career aspirations of the individual. Some Outpatient Clinics and all Day surgery lists are performed at Stobhill ACH.

    There will be a full-shift working pattern, resident when on duty. The rota is compliant with the EWTD and the New Deal Band 1B.

    This post does not have Educational approval and will not be recognised for training, although the post holder will be offered the same opportunities for education as the other training post holders at an equivalent level.

    To practice medicine in the you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice.
