    Description


    Randstad is hiring for Abbott's Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join the Strip Manufacturing team on both the rotating day shift and also night shift.


    This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while contributing to the overall success of the production team.

    Role- Production Assistant
    Pay rate - £12.00 Hourly
    Location - Abbott, Range Road, Witney, OX29 0YL
    Job Type - Temporary, Initially for 6 months with the probability of extension
    Hours - Full Time, 40.25 hours in a week, Conti Days

    Start Date - Asap

    Job Responsibilities:


    Maintain punctuality and good timekeeping for all assigned tasks.
    Adhere to company requirements regarding behaviour and appropriate working attire.
    Work under the guidance of the Team Manager or Supervisor to execute tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    Set up and operate machinery within the designated Area in line with SOPs, under the direction of the Team Manager.

    Conduct visual inspections or use specified instruments to identify material failures or imperfections as directed, following relevant SOPs.
    Collaborate with other departments as necessary to facilitate efficient workflow.
    Monitor and ensure adherence to the ADC quality system, good manufacturing practices, and regulatory requirements.
    Assist in projects aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality system and product quality.
    Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and Abbott standards by following EHS systems, programs, and procedures.
    Take accountability for the Health & Safety of oneself and others.
    Identify and highlight areas where improvements can be made to EHS performance

    Requirements:
    Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
    Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is preferred.
    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
    Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations is beneficial.
