    Temporary 6 months

    Grade 10 £39,186 to £42,403 per annum

    37 hours per week

    Whilst your base will be The Guildhall, you will have the option to work flexibly, with some time at home, on site and in the workplace. You can also take advantage of our flexible working arrangements.

    We are seeking an experienced generalist HR professional to provide higher level and complex HR professional support, advice and guidance on cases and queries on the application of a wide range of workforce policies, guidance, employment law, specific regulations and terms and conditions of employment. Working collaboratively with Heads of Services and Team Managers through a coaching style and support to enable them to develop their people management skills and confidence to apply best practice and resolve HR issues in the workplace.

    This will include a caseload of higher level and complex cases such as attendance management, grievance and disciplinary issues.

    With the consultant way of working, this will involve developing and delivering preventative initiatives and providing support on organisational change projects as required.

    You will need to be qualified to CIPD level, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate competencies in a busy, challenging and customer-focussed environment. You will be working as part of a wider HR & Organisational Development service in delivering your role, including the Employment Services teams and workforce development colleagues. Previous experience of providing HR advice in local government/ Housing departments and working with Trade Unions will be of a particular advantage.
