Description

Michael Page Engineering is pleased to be working with a highly reputable industrial manufacturer based in Sheffield, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the centre of world class manufacturing.

Improve existing production processes as part of a Lean team or working on directed individual projects.
# Where necessary generate designs (CAD), procure / build and implement appropriate process solutions, including jigs, fixtures, work holding etc.
# Work with the product design engineers to actively encourage concurrent engineering practices in product development, promoting design for manufacture / design for assembly principles.
# General PC skills - Microsoft Office etc.
# Sound Engineering Background
# Strong understanding of CNC machinery and related processes, including programming (G Code - CIMCO, Edgecam), tool selection, program optimisation.
# Solid understanding of NPI processes and process improvement, such as jig/fixture design & design for manufacture.
# HND / HNC Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
# Experience of working in a Lean manufacturing culture
# CAD and modelling skills to create engineering drawings/models (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD)
# Monday to Friday
6 Month Fixed Term Contract (Permanent potential)
