    Job Title: Controls Workshop/Installation Supervisor

    Location - Liverpool

    We are currently looking for a Controls Workshop / Installation Supervisor for a market-leading manufacturing company based in Liverpool. They are currently expanding and want to add a skilled supervisor to the team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Allocate tasks to technicians and ensure efficient job allocation.
    • Gather accurate information for individual projects to facilitate smooth execution.
    • Oversee the assembly and wiring of electrical and pneumatic control systems in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Prioritize tasks to meet the demands of the business and ensure timely project completion.
    • Collaborate with the maintenance manager to address internal electrical issues and support upgrade projects.
    • Manage health and safety protocols and facilitate near-miss reporting within the allocated area.
    • Conduct quality control checks on finished goods to maintain quality standards.
    • Ensure compliance with workshop and company procedures.
    • Maintain an organized workshop and monitor stock levels of consumable items.
    • Foster a clean and tidy working environment conducive to productivity and safety.
    • Provide training and guidance to technicians to enhance their skills and capabilities.

    Requirements:

    • BTec or City and Guilds electrical qualification or recognized apprenticeship/training body, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Passion for the role and a keen eye for detail.
    • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics.
    • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
    • Hands-on experience in control panel building, general controls installations, and basic pneumatic systems.
    • Understanding of control panel components and field devices, sensors, and switches.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively between the workshop and office.
    • Calm demeanor and methodical approach to working under pressure.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

    Benefits:

    Salary up to £21 per hour

    Hours, Mon - Thur 8 - 16:30, Friday 8-2

    Overtime paid at 1.x5

    24 days Holiday
