    College/School: College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine / Institute for Regeneration and Repair (IRR), Centre for Regenerative Medicine (CRM)

    Full Time: 35 hours per week

    Contract type: Open-ended

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive administrator with excellent communication, planning and organising skills to work within the newly formed Postgraduate Support Team at IRR (Institute of Regeneration and Repair). You will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all activities relating to the postgraduate student cycle for the Centre for Regenerative Medicine (CRM). Working as part of this team, you will provide wide-ranging, professional, effective and efficient administrative support.

    This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and we are open to considering flexible working patterns. Under current arrangements, the post-holder may work fully on-campus or may choose to operate in a hybrid on-campus/off-campus working mode. As a minimum, the post-holder is expected to work 60% of their working hours on-campus and will be expected to attend other on-campus meetings and events as required.

    The Opportunity:

    This is an exciting opportunity to join the IRR Postgraduate Support Team and play a vital role in providing a key service to staff and students, at IRR, and as part of the wider university academic community.

    As a Postgraduate Administrator based at IRR, you will support the teaching and research needs of students based in CRM. The successful appointee will oversee and administrate all system related PhD student recruitment maintenance and aftercare activity on behalf of supervisors across the centre to ensure the process is efficiently and effectively managed. Engaging with the wider student community to create new opportunities, suggesting ideas and enhancing our student's experience.

    Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A relevant vocational qualification and two years' relevant work experience OR Educated to at least Higher level or equivalent, with experience working in a busy Finance, HR or Admin office environment.
  • Experience in Higher Education sector.
  • Finance and/or administration experience in an office environment.
  • Proven experience of working effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work independently, to use initiative and prioritise own work.
