Our client a well established manufacturing company is looking for a ProductionTeam Leader to join their business on a Permanent basis.


  • Salary: £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week,

  • Monday
  • Friday minutes unpaid break)
    TBC

Accountabilities

Supervise the operation of all relevant machinery, tools and equipment to ensure production tasks are performed safely and in accordance with instructions

  • Communicate/distribute daily tasks and expectations for Safety, Production, Quality and TQM
  • Demonstrate the operation of the appropriate machine where appropriate
  • Liaise with the appropriate individuals regarding the individuals development to arrange suitable training and learning activities
  • Observe the individual in completing the task, identify areas of deviation and advise corrective action in line with standard operating procedures
  • Advise operators in general queries regarding the operation of the production process

Liaise with relevant stakeholders to deliver production requirements

  • Oversee the timely replenishment of raw material to reduce operator waiting times
  • Coordinate the replenishment of consumables and availability to all operators e.g. tying wires, slings, bags etc.
  • Liaise with operators and maintenance to ensure efficient resolution to problems
  • Monitor the output of each operator and report discrepancies to the appropriate individuals

Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of functional professionals or other professionals to ensure

that the plant meets its established targets and standards
***- Complete induction, on boarding and probationary reviews in a timely manner

  • Evaluate individuals' performance and set objectives for the future
  • Conduct Performance reviews within timescales
  • Manage poor performance
  • Manage attendance and timekeeping
  • Seek advice from HR, Occupational Health or other support agencies e.g. ACAS, EEF

Miscellaneous or ad hoc business requirements

  • Manage specific projects or undertake specific project activity as determined by the business or line manager
  • Travel to specific locations in order to undertake role requirements as required
  • Represent your function or business at meetings or events as required

Technical Competencies
Productivity per hour according to schedule e.g. Tonnes, KGs, threads etc.

Quality Rates e.g. Error rate, scrap levels, spot check pass rates, mean time between defects etc.

Safety -e.g. incidents, lost time incidents, safety cards submitted, TSAP/PSAP actions completed etc.

TQM -e.g. 5S implementation, 5S audit scores, SCRA completion, autonomous maintenance completion, control plan completion etc.
