Description

This statutory body who is accountable to Defra was set up to ensure people who work in the market community have the best facilities possible to run their businesses.

Working as part of a wider finance team, your role as an Accounts Assistant is varied and autonomous role. You will communicate with internal and external stake holders and your day to day duties will include;

  • Maintaining the finance inbox
  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices
  • Scanning invoices and properly storing them
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliation
  • Setting up payment rune
  • Liaising with supplier in relation to payment and invoice queries
  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Raising and managing purchase order numbers
  • Posting credit card and bank transactions
  • Your excellent attention to details
  • Ability and experience in processing accounts payable invoices
  • Knowledge debits and credits
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Prior working knowledge of accounting package such as Microsoft Dynamics and competency of Excel
This Accounts Assistant role offers you;

  • Part time role 3 days a week (Office based)
  • 1 year fixed term contract
- £21,000 a year (this is for the 3 days a week)
