    Description

    Reporting to the Head of NPD, the successful candidate will be working cross functionally to assist the NPD team in bringing new product innovation to market as well as constantly evolving current products and packaging. Sarah Chapman Skinesis products and treatments are the ultimate combination of science, nature and luxury.     Responsibilities

    Assisting on all aspects of concept to launch skincare NPD for all projects/ products

    Managing with third-party suppliers, tracking timings, and managing reformulation projects as needed.

    Managing in sourcing packaging from global suppliers, build and maintain excellent relationships and look for innovation.

    Assisting in sourcing and researching interesting new raw materials – meet with suppliers to review new technologies and ingredients to get a competitive edge.

    Collating and coordinating paperwork for UK and International registration, as well as legal and regulatory updates.

    Managing and maintaining product formulations and raw materials in the company's technical database.

    Managing and updating technical documentation as appropriate to ensure regulatory compliance to the relevant markets.

    Monitoring and providing analysis of technical customer complaints.

    Managing and coordinating packaging samples/bulk etc. for all testing required for project

    Assisting in managing ongoing bulk sample review and submission process.

    Ensure samples are logged and organised.

    Managing the product filing/benchmarks and on-line product files to ensure they are kept up to date and in an orderly manner.

    Assisting the Operations Team in planning re-orders, meeting regularly to discuss re-order schedule and ensuring artwork is checked and ready.

    Managing all existing artwork updates, directing art-worker and checking to ensure consistency and accuracy.

    Managing product copy documents.

    Proofreading and managing artwork.

    Producing competitive analysis review documents as required on new products.

    Researching product trends and competition and produce monthly market analysis report to share with the wider team.

    Ensuring documents and samples are prepared for key meetings;.

    Document processes and procedures as needed for business continuity.

    Writing up minutes and actions from key meetings and update NPD sheets.

    Assisting and managing the preparation and work with internal teams – Sales, Marketing, Ops, finance to ensure information is correctly supplied and gained to launch saleable, compliant products, suitable for our retail partners.

    General administration – post/filing/logging/chasing paperwork & samples from suppliers.

    Skills & experience needed:

    Understanding of NPD processes

    Understanding of technical and regulatory requirements

    Working knowledge and experience of ingredients used in skincare

    Basic understanding of skincare claims

    Ability to multitask and manage several projects at one time

    Strong organizational and planning skills

    Quick problem-solving abilities

    Takes initiative – pro-active and makes suggestions for improving

    Flexible team player - prepared to muck in

    Actively interested in the science of skincare

    2 - 3 years in an assistant role in a cosmetics business

    A background in Cosmetic Science would be advantageous

    This is a Hybrid role, with 1 day working from home and 4 days in the office which is located on The Kings Road Chelsea, London SW3
