My Wolverhampton based distributor are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join their team on a full time basis for a 6 month fixed term contract with a view to the role becoming permanent.
The is due to a re-organisation of the Finance structure within the company.

This would be suitable for a qualified accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career development.


You will be based in Wolverhampton and reporting directly to the General Manager with a functional reporting line to the new UK/Swedish Finance manager.


Duties will include:
-


  • General daily book keeping entries, supplier invoices, bank transactions
  • Raising supplier purchase orders
  • Opening of new customer and supplier accounts
  • Weekly sales flash reporting
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of bank records with M
  • Recording credit card use
  • Review supporting documentation of employee expense claims
  • Supervise, support & mentor Accounts Assistant and cover in absence
  • Preparation of regular accruals and prepayments and reconciliation of schedules
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Produce monthly VAT reconciliation
  • Prepare Payroll
  • Prepare Monthly P&L and B&S ready for full review with GM & Service Manager
  • Review weekly / monthly cash forecasting and report to group
  • Monthly / quarterly stock depreciation file
  • Monthly review with spare parts manager stock value and action plans for reducing aged stock levels
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Preparing yearly Audit
  • Prepare yearly tax computations
  • Support yearly budget process
  • Support Sales team with customer credit reviews and deal approval process to group
  • You will be responsible for providing a hands on /can do active role in not only the day to day running of the finance department, but also engaged in a 'business partner 'role supporting the teams and general manager as and when needed. This may includesupporting the Sales teams with analysing profitability of deals, working with the Service Manager on spare parts promotions or setting up laptops for new users.

  • Good knowledge of legal finance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to work on own initiative
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines
