    Location –Okehampton

    Salary £730.00 plus food allowance per week

    Days of work – 7 days a week for a minimum of two weeks at a time.

    Hours – These vary by package and will include downtime.

    Sonderwell is recruiting Live-In Carers to provide person focused care to our clients within their own homes. If you have care experience please apply for this role as we are happy to train for any other aspects of this role.

    As a Live - In carer you will be living with your client within their own home. This gives you the opportunity to really get to know your client and their families, providing full time care and support to help them live their best lives.

    Our client likes to have good conversation and enjoys getting out to visit coffee shops and watching the world go by. Our client would like to join some organised activities and your role as the Live In Carer would be to encourage this.

    We have a robust and indepth onboarding process where as a new employee, you'll first complete your training and paid induction. As part of your induction, you will shadow another member of your team. This helps you understand your new role and get to know people in your team.

    Your colleagues and management team will work with you during your induction to help you put your training into practice and answer any questions you may have. You'll start building your own support network from day one – this will include your management team, colleagues and departments at Sonderwell Group.

    Your ongoing development , whether it be studying for an NVQ, refresher or specific clinic training is invested in too.

    What we require from candidates:

    • Flexibility and Reliability
    • Passionate about the care of vulnerable people with various health issues
    • A minimum of 6 months complex care experience
    • Self-motivation and the ability to use your own initiative, whilst also working as part of a team
    • Someone who is calm under pressure
    • A valid driving license that enables you to drive in the UK

    You will be spending your time with our client within their own home where you will be supporting with their daily routine

    Your day to day activities may include & experience we are looking for:

    • household chores including cooking, laundry
