    The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

    We are looking for experienced Digital Forensic Analysts that are interested in applying their skills in a unique and demanding environment.

    Do you want to be an integral member of a specialist unit that supports criminal investigations?


    The Surrey Digital Forensic Team is responsible for the forensic recovery and analysis of data from electronic devices seized during investigations.

    Successful candidates could join either our Computer or Mobile Device Team, depending on their prior experience.


    Your primary role will be the analysis of data extracted from computers or mobile devices, as well as providing advice, support and assistance to others.

    The role is office based and the Digital Forensics Team is located at the Surrey Police HQ in Guildford. You will be required to work a fixed shift pattern which includes day (08:00 - 16:00) and late shifts (10:00 - 18:00) as well as some weekend working (08:00 - 16:00)
    As a Digital Forensic Analyst you will be responsible for
    Analysing, interpreting and validating data extracted from computers and similar devices.
    Reviewing media and grading illegal content.

    Keeping up to date with developments in the field of Digital Forensics and be a subject matter expert on key aspects of this field of work.

    Significant experience in a Digital Forensics environment.
    Experienced in the use of forensic tools for computer analysis.
    A flexible approach and awareness of operational security.
