- Teachers of languages are responsible for planning and preparing engaging and effective lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Teachers focus on developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the target language.
- Teachers regularly assess students' language proficiency to monitor their progress and provide feedback.
- Teachers identify students' strengths and weaknesses in language learning and offer personalized support to help them improve.
- Teachers foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in the target language.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Specialist subject as Spanish, French or German to GCSE; A-Level experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Previous teaching experience in the last 2 years (placements can be counted for ECTs or NQTs).
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Build and maintain appropriate relationships with staff, students, and outside agencies.
- Mark and assess work, providing in-depth detail for pupils to be able to progress.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment within the classroom
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
