    Location: Derby - Hybrid

    Salary: £50k

    Business Analyst will be responsible for managing the relationship between IT and specific

    business functions with the aim of understanding the specific goals of the function and then translating those needs into technology needs for IT development/implementation.

    • Supporting the Business Systems manager in the creation of an overall business systems roadmap to drive a digital transformation programme that will enable the business to deliver digital services and enhance operational efficiencies.
    • Responsible for ensuring the implementation, development and support of business systems and that these align with the company requirements and digital vision.
    • A highly visible role within the business, acting as the interface and conduit between IT, the business user community, Heads of Departments, suppliers, Group IT on IT and business systems.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Be the main point of contact between business functions and the IT support teams, identifying and then holding regular meetings with stakeholders within the functions to understand business goals/direction, and current system issues / pain-points.

    Evaluate and document operational and IT needs / requirements for business functions, working with business /data analysts to understand data flows and integration points for systems

    Manage the applications and systems portfolio for the allocated function(s) ensuring all systems are understood, documented, business ownership confirmed and IT interfaces known.

    Create and gain agreement for the function on applications and systems strategy, ensuring the functions strategy is integrated into the overall Digital roadmap to direct the function towards a digital vision.

    Strong ability to map out business processes, understand current issues, business requirements for change and agree on a way forward that aligns with company strategy, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

    Work closely with the procurement department to lead the vendor selection process for any new business systems solutions.
