    Embedded Software Developer

    • Job Type: Full-time
    • Location: Cambridge
    • Salary: £50,000 - £65,000

    We are searching for a passionate Embedded Software Developer to join our client's dynamic team. This position is ideal for adaptable developers who enjoy working with various technologies and thrive on solving intricate real-time challenges.

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

    • Take part in software development within a Scrum Team, involving requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and debugging.
    • Contribute to project scoping, technical reviews, tool assessment, and selection processes.
    • Engage with a diverse customer base from different sectors, addressing the distinct demands of each industry.
    • Operate within an Agile environment, handling multiple software development tasks in each sprint.
    • Experience a dynamic work environment with support from management, team members, and cross-departmental teamwork.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Holder of a degree-level qualification in a relevant field.
    • Solid proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Java, and Kotlin.
    • Background in real-time, multi-processor, multi-threaded, event-driven software.
    • Hands-on experience in Embedded Linux Kernel and user-space software development for a commercially available product.
    • Strong debugging abilities and a fervor for resolving complex real-time platform issues.
    • Skilled in using development tools for debugging, profiling, code coverage, memory leak detection, etc.
    • Knowledge of configuration management and issue tracking tools.
    • Innovative mindset with a track record of generating novel ideas and problem-solving approaches.
    • Determination to delve into problems to identify their root causes.
    • Strong analytical, numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Proactive and takes ownership of their work tasks.
