    About you
    With a degree in building surveying or other relevant discipline, corporate membership qualification in Building Control MRICS/MCABE/MCIOB, and being registered at Class 2, 3 or 4 with the Building Safety Regulator, you will have a good practical understanding of primary building control legislation and enforcement processes and procedures and excellent IT skills. You'll also need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to influence and negotiate with tact and diplomacy and the ability to work on your own initiative.

    A valid driving licence and your own car are essential, as travel throughout the district will be required (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
