    Job summary

    We arelooking to recruit for a job-share/part-time service lead for paediatrictherapies. The team includes occupational therapy, physiotherapy and specialistplay service. Paediatric therapies is countywide across Worcestershire and workjointly with speech and language therapy, community paediatricians, the childdevelopment centre team, the equipment services, orthotics and early yearsservices to offer community OT and physiotherapy intervention.

    This is adynamic and innovative team with a highly child centred approach to theirintervention. They work in partnership with families and young people to offerhigh quality care. The service is moving towards implementing the balancedsystem and has reviewed its whole caseload to be able to prioritise care to theright children at the right time. This is an exciting time of potential changeand development for the service and strong leadership will be needed to makethis process smooth.

    You willneed to have HCPC registration as either a physio or OT.

    Thesuccessful candidate would need to be prepared to work at all of the basescovered by the team as needed. The work base can be discussed at interview.There is an option for some home working as appropriate.

    Thesuccessful candidate will have support within the team from team leaders andclinical leads and from the clinical services manager and senior managementteam in the service delivery unit.

    There are a total of hoursper week for this role.

    Main duties of the job

    You will provide leadership for the paediatric therapies team. You will be responsible for line managing the team leaders and clinical leads; offering clinical and managerial oversight to the therapy teams; leading the team through a period of change and transformation; maintaining best practice and quality for the children and young people accessing the service; supporting staff and working towards staff wellbeing; maintain policies and procedures for the teams within Trust standards. Act as an advocate for the service in multidisciplinary forum.

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

    You willensure that all Trust initiatives are interpreted and applied to the serviceand that the clinical quality of the offer is maintained through a robustreview and audit process. Engaging with transformation and change projects, youwill keep the needs of the client group central to all decision making. Youwill contribute to senior management meetings as required and will lead servicelevel meetings. You will be responsible for the governance of the service and forthe quality of practice such as clinical record keeping and safeguarding.
