About the Role:

The Tollgate Practice looking for an experienced medical administrator to join our busy practice support team and help make a positive impact to our local community.


The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team;
  • Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into clinical system;
  • Scanning patient information, such as medical documents, hospital records and letters, into computerised records;
  • Photocopy documents as required;
  • Deal with referrals to primary care;
  • Action tasks set by clinicians and practice manager;
  • Registering new patients;
  • Covering reception as and when required;
  • Handling phone enquiries efficiently.
  • Experienced medical administrators, with excellent IT and typing skills
  • Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communicators who work in a confidential and discreet manner and are able to think on their feet in a busy working environment.
  • Able to multitask, work hard and maintain high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.
Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
