About the role:


As a Retail Finance Business Partner, here at AXA you'll support establish and ensure adherence to strong financial partnering, whilst ensuring the profitable execution of new deals initiatives, products, and activity within the business unit.

As a natural leader you'll coach and motivate a team who provide financial support to the business.

You'll provide clear analysis and commentary on performance, which is consistent, and clear MI for both internal and external stakeholders.


At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, in London or Ipswich.


What you'll be doing:


  • Support the business in the overall provision of financial management expertise and partnering for business development.
  • Influence, coordinate, challenge and appraise strategic diagnostics and strategic operations.
  • Support the business through the financial stages of new business acquisition, renewal negotiation and initiatives.
  • Help to create a fully documented financial plan based on strategic options agreed with the business and executive committee.
  • Work with key stakeholders to review performance and deliver rapid and informed decision making and input into the planning process.
  • Develop and influence action planning to address business issues identified through the financial analysis.
  • Support the implementation of compliant financial structures established in conjunction with the risk and control teams.
  • Support the wider Finance team through robust performance management.

About you:


What we're looking for:


  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Excellent understanding of the financial dynamics of the general insurance business.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills, able to inspire confidence and motivate.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • The ability to persuade, influence and convince others.
  • Specialist understanding of accounting and control for insurance.
  • Experience of motivating and managing a team, preferably in a matrix organisation.
  • Successful record of delivering and leading teams through change.


As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
