    Job Description

    About you

    You're a creative Design Lead with significant shopper marketing experience. A naturally strategic thinker who understands shopper principles and can apply them effectively. You're prepared to challenge and be challenged.

    About the role

    Working closely with the strategy team, you'll develop shopper design frameworks that build on, and dovetail with, above the line campaign creative ­­— the challenge is to both retain the integrity of the ATL work and adhere to shopper principles. Alongside a Senior Copywriter, you'll also ideate and produce digital and shopper tools for all Imperial products, including combustible, non-combustible and heat technology tobacco.

    In addition, you'll oversee, advise and mentor more junior members of the creative team.

    • You'll help develop strategic concepts, produce shopper toolkits and face design challenges around creating numerous and varied marketing materials.
    • Oversee the delivery of creative output that's tailored to be effective in locations where the cultural context is different.
    • You'll help develop brand experiences, POS, digital content and expert marketing and work closely with clients' design leaders and marketing teams as well as rostered agency partners.
    • Day to day, you'll be consulting with stakeholders to agree timelines and develop project deliverables.
    • You'll be comfortable communicating with, and presenting to, people at every level of the business as well as clients and any other stakeholders.

    Job Qualifications:

    • 5+ years working in a design management role.
    • 7+ years working in a shopper-first agency.
    • Experience of other design disciplines, including brand identity, structural design, POS, expert, advertising, digital and brand experiences.
    • Ability to utilise marketing and design research findings to inform your work.
    • An understanding of how design can affect the brand and, in turn, the business (metrics and measurement).
    • Knowledge of contemporary strategic challenges (competition, environments and consumer trends).
    • Ability to work to and consistently hit deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the strategy team to help shape shopper principles for global projects.
    • Produce design briefs in partnership with design leadership colleagues and strategic partners.
    • Challenge toolkit thinking — provide POSM inspiration and sell in new ideas.
    • Help translate ATL creative into shopper key visuals that follow best practice.
    • Ensure creative output exceeds stakeholder expectations and is delivered on time.
    • Develop a clear understanding of the brands and how they communicate in specific channels.
    • Oversee output and take responsibility for levels of service and the efficacy of day-to-day operations.
    • Develop productive relationships with stakeholders and agency partners.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations in relation to project objectives, timelines and budgets.
    • Mentor and provide constructive feedback to your more junior colleagues.
