CAD Technician

The Role

Due to expanding Growth we are looking to expand our design Joinery Team with a Senior CAD Technician. The role will be fast paced on a range of bespoke projects across the commercial Fit out section based in central London. The successful candidate will need to have good knowledge of Joinery items and produce architectural and manufacturing drawings for our own in house manufacturing workshop before install on site.

· 5 years plus experience as joinery draughtsman or similar role

• Expertise with AutoCAD
• Experienced in technical design and development of workshop drawings for high quality bespoke furniture and joinery
• Exceptional knowledge of joinery design and construction including fabrication and finishing procedures with a wide understanding of joinery materials including timber, boards, veneers, laminates, hardware, metal ,stone ,fabric
• Good understanding of Microsoft office
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-managed, motivated and hard working
• Travelling to customer locations to conduct site surveys and take measurements - Possibly
• Offering advice and conferring directly with customers over design implementation
• Ensure all technical filing is completed and easy to access (hard copy, digital, reference literature)
• Work closely with the Production Supervisors on intricate joinery design requirements
• Provide assistance to the Operations Manager and Directors with any technical duties or projects
• Creating and issuing samples, RFIs , & Technical submittals for ensuring client sign off.

· Joinery Experience of minimum 5 years.

· Bench Joiner experience preferable

· Knowledge of cutting sheets

· Overseeing sub-contractors CAD designers

• Formulate Door ,Ironmongery and appliance schedules
