Ashfield currently have the pleasure of working with a family owned, Pharma top 20 company to recruit a Primary Care Specialist covering North Yorkshire.

This is a great opportunity to work for a company driven by developing breakthrough therapies and innovativehealthcare solutions, with this vacancy being focused on their diabetes product portfolio.

This role will be working promoting their portfolio to targeted primary care physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other members of the primary care sector.

You willalso be working closely with Local Account Team to input recommendations on sales and marketing solutions based on understanding and evaluation of trends, customer needs, and competitor's activity, products or services that will generate sales of the company'sproducts.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Obtain maximum commitment from customers on every call. Deliver sales target, working productively with team members in line with marketing/operational strategy within budget.
  • Customises approach for each call on each customer to assess customer needs
  • Collaborate with other members of the local account team to share tactics and opportunities to leverage sales and build relationships with the customer.
  • Effectively utilises all available resources to sell and promote the company's products.
  • Ensure their team seeks to understand their customer's channel preferences in order to utilise the appropriate resources available (both digital and people channels) to drive the best customer experience.
  • Full adherence to industry and company procedures e.g. ABPI (UK)
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with the nonpromotional nature of the role and conform fully to all mandatory internal and external regulatory, legal and healthcare compliance requirements

What experience / skills you need:

  • Degree or equivalent. Science or business background but others considered
  • Understanding of and adherence to ABPI (UK) / IPHA/MRII (Ireland) Code of Practice
  • Previous Primary care experience
  • Strategic mindset
  • Strong digital capabilities
  • Analytical and planning skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of account management
  • Demonstrable ability to build strong, long term relationships
  • Previous diabetes experience would be beneficial
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required
