- Previous VMC experience,
- Programming, editing and setting with Fanuc or Heidenhain controlled systems preferred. Experience with other control systems would be considered.
- Quality checking your own work.
- Reading engineering drawings.
- Producing varied small batches and one offs on a subcontract basis.
- Working to high tolerances.

Position: CNC Miller Programmer/ Setter/ Operator
Location: Huddersfield
Position - Permanent
Pay - £ £17.00ph (depending on experience)
Hours - 39
Shift - Monday - Thursday
An established Subcontract Precision Engineering company that produces varied high-quality specialist components to ISO standards, currently have an opening for a skilled CNC Miller PSO to join their established team.
The opportunity: Our client have a new vacancy on a permanent basis for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter, Operator, ideally with experience using Fanuc/ Heidenhain controls.
Main accountabilities: To operate mainly a VMC with Fanuc/ Heidenhain control. Program/ set to a high standard to produce high quality products.
Key skills:
To be successful in this role, you must ideally:
Be apprentice trained or time served.
Have experience producing high quality one offs and small batches.
Be able to quality check your own work.
Ability to read in imperial and metric and use micrometers/ verniers, etc.
