About The Opportunity
The purpose of this role is to bring to life the story, value, and impact of the people and projects undertaken by Arup's Technical Specialist Services Portfolio (TSSP), positioning us as the consultant and employer of choice for those who are at the heart of addressing the most complex issues in the physical and virtual built environment.
The postholder will articulate how Arup delivers unique value, enabling our deep technical experts to use their skills in ways that create powerful human experiences that contribute to resolving primary challenges facing society, including the need to accelerate climate action, build resilience, and create social value.
As a member of our global TSSP leadership team, the Global Marketing Lead for Technical Specialist Services will work closely with the Global Portfolio Leader in a strategic capacity.
This work will include designing and managing creative processes in complex work environments, ideation, planning, analysis and decision making in the areas of value proposition, competitor analysis, new market entry, and new service development.
You will contribute to the strategy for the portfolio and lead development and delivery of the TSSP marketing strategy and a series of annual strategic marketing plans.
These will focus the promotion of our technical specialist services and experts within our chosen markets and support high-quality engagement with our priority clients, founded on powerful stories, content and communications.
Working collaboratively with global and regional marketing and communications colleagues - particularly colleagues leading our markets portfolios - and with TSSP regional leaders, you will implement and deliver the technical specialist services marketing strategy, ensuring activity is integrated with Arup's global and regional marketing and communications programmes and campaigns.
Is this role right for you?
If so, you'll likely have:
- Several years' experience of marketing within the creative industries and/or architecture, consulting, design or engineering sector engineering sector, including the commissioning of original content from a range of sources. This experience will ideally be combined with a professional qualification in marketing and/or communications.
- Experience of developing value propositions and key messages designed to support the success of strategic business goals.
- Experience of developing marketing strategies and plans, including the creation and issue of directtoclient content.
- Experience of commissioning, editing and promotion of agendasetting digitally driven marketing content and events.
- Knowledge of and/or strong interest in developing knowledge in sustainability, digital, and some or all of the services that sit within Arup's technical specialist services portfolio.
