Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative/ Church Stretton, Shropshire / £12 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative with a current FLT licence to join our client , a leading Life Sciences organisation based in Church Stretton.

As a crucial member of their warehouse family, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations.


Responsibilities:
Forklift Truck Operations

Safely operate forklift trucks to move goods within the warehouse premises.
Handle deliveries and waste collections on-site using the forklift.
Transfer raw materials and other stock items to containers needed for production.
Adhere to safety protocols while operating the forklift.
Inventory Management

Conduct regular stock counts, with a focus on solvents.
Collaborate with the procurement team to suggest orders based on stock levels and available space.
Perform cycle counting of raw materials for accurate inventory records.
Work closely with the materials team to ensure all delivery paperwork is provided for checking.
Warehouse Organisation and Maintenance

Organise and maintain storage spaces for raw materials and waste.
Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised.
Ensure good stock levels of consumables used in production.
Ideal Person

Valid forklift driving license or certification. (Counterbalance)
Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills.
Safety-conscious mindset - Work carefully according to Health & Safety and Quality (ISO9001:2015) guidelines.
Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus - but not essential.
This role is an 18 month Temporary contract
37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
