Corporate Membership Organisation

Central London - Hybrid Working

Basic Salary £35,000-£40,000 dependant on experience plus benefits including 25 Days Holiday. 5% Pension Contribution, BUPA, Cycle to Work Scheme, Season Ticket Loan

Permanent, Full Time


My client a corporate membership organisation with over 245 members based in Central London is currently looking for a Membership Manager.

It's members who the Membership Manager will look after include top FTSE companies, professional services firms, Whitehall departments, charities, universities and local authorities


Key Responsibilities of Membership Manager
Act as the main account manager and point of contact for up to 70 members from across the sectors, capturing and feeding their strategic priorities into the development of activities to increase member value;
Maintain a high quality and responsive membership service, ensuring that members understand membership benefits and can access opportunities for engagement;
Lead on business development outreach, approaching and promoting to new members through targeted communications;
Work on membership retention and the creation of the annual membership strategy;
Work across the organisation to ensure effective on-boarding and early engagement of new members;
Develop and implement a toolkit for disengaged members, working closely with the Head of Membership, Events, Leadership, Talent and Marketing and other members of the team as required;
Report quarterly on behavioural trends and demographics to support membership acquisition and retention;
Work collaboratively with the Data and Ops teams utilising CRM system, to develop, improve and manage the membership team's systems and processes including the annual renewal process;
Liaise across all teams to keep them informed of membership needs and performance;
Document regular membership reports and statistics, working effectively with Data/Marketing to ensure flow both ways of information and impact stories;
Work with the wider team on partnerships and collaborations, including potentially project managing other campaigns and offers to increase value to the membership;

Embrace an 'all hands to the pump' attitude when particularly busy;

Attend events and other activities (including some early morning and evening events and those that are outside of London), to network with members.


Person specification
You will have experience of successful account management, nurturing productive relationships to deliver clearly agreed engagement targets.


You will show a strong interest in policy, business and civil society, and the value of facilitating connection and dialogue between the sectors.

You will have evidence of having successfully sold offers/services to a range of clients.

You will be passionate about data and the optimisation of systems to drive efficiency.

You will be enthusiastic, inclusive, solutions-focused and people oriented.
