Pentland Brands are looking for an experienced Category Planning Manager to join our global Supply Planning Team based out of Speedo House, Nottingham.


As Category Planning Manager you will, lead a team of supply planners and coordinators, own of the global supply plan and be accountable for the execution of our global buy plan and for the performance of the global supply planning function for given category.


The role you'd play as Category Planning Manager:

  • Building effective relationships with vendors to unlock opportunities for the organisation.
  • Supporting the onboarding of new vendors and provide them a continuous support on Pentland processes.
  • Providing regular and concise updates on delivery issues to Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Work with global and regional teams to identify the impact of delivery delays and quality issues and agree the appropriate action and communication.
  • Leading and driving the performance of a team of supply planners and coordinators.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements within supply chain.
  • Setting and maintaining the buying calendar relevant for the product category and type.
  • Managing tier 2 material commitment and liability to minimise financial impact.
  • Ensure data accuracy within GSP remit.
  • Provide support across the global supply planning function when necessary.

  • Proven negotiation skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to analyse complex data.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent people management, leadership and development skills.
  • A positive approach to change and understanding of how to bring people on the journey.
  • Experience in a role that requires cross functional and global collaboration.
  • Ability to understand and empathise with the end user.
