    My client is a thriving & well respected professional services provider based in Central London. Offering, a client orientated culture with a strong emphasis on collaborative relationships.

    The Finance Manager reports directly to the company's Directors and is responsible for the firm's daily accounting operations and management of a small team.

    Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Monitor general ledger and ensure completeness of reconciliations and year-end documentation.
    • Review and improve internal accounting and project reporting systems.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee preparation of tax returns.
    • Perform month-end closing and distribution of financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, IFRS, and GAAP.
    • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports for senior management.
    • Coordinate with parent company for weekly reporting.
    • Handle VAT returns for UK and foreign operations.
    • Complete end-of-year reporting on turnover, profit, and employee bonus schemes.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for annual returns and HMRC submissions.
    • Manage day-to-day activities of Finance team
    • Support month-end and year-end close process.

    The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience running a finance department within a SME professional services firm. In order to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, you must have good communication skills.
