- Daily Quality Checks: Oversee and perform daily quality checks on production lines to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Lab Testing: Utilize laboratory equipment and procedures to conduct testing on food samples, including milk off the production lines, to assess quality, freshness, and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, audit findings, test results, and corrective actions taken, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, quality enhancement, and waste reduction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
- Supplier Management: Evaluate and monitor suppliers based on their adherence to quality standards, product specifications, and regulatory requirements, ensuring consistent quality of raw materials and ingredients.
- Computer Skills: Utilize computer systems and software applications to generate reports, analyze data, and communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Budget Management: Assist in the management of the quality control department budget, including procurement of equipment, supplies, and resources necessary for quality assurance activities.

Our client based in Hazel Grove, Stockport is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Manager to join their existing team on a permanent basis
Quality Assurance Audits:
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP standards and SALSA requirements.
Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within the food industry, with a strong understanding of HACCP principles and experience with SALSA audits.
