Our client, a prominent B2B energy retailer serving businesses in the UK, seeks a Senior Sales Manager to oversee sales across SME and I&C channels. This pivotal role involves leading sales activities and contributing to the sales strategy to drive growth in alignment with board expectations. Additionally, you will manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance to achieve ambitious revenue and profit targets.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for a growing team of up to 40 in the sales department, with up to 8 direct reports covering Team Managers, Business Development Managers, Major Business and Sales Support. - Full target responsibility for annual sales generating approx. £800m of contract revenue.
    • To lead, inspire and provide an environment for high achievement to flourish across the whole sales function whilst ensuring a growth mindset
    • Motivate, coach, train and develop staff in accordance with company values and procedures
    • Ensure internal and external business relationships are maintained and developed to achieve optimum sales delivery and efficiency
    • Directly manage the team to ensure flawless sales operations for all aspects of day-today performance and delivery within the team and that of the business
    • Regularly review department processes for efficiency improvements and risk mitigation, ensuring documentation is continually updated

    Experience

    • A minimum of Years 5 experience of working within the energy retail industry is essential
    • Experience and knowledge of the UK Energy sector (Essential)
    • Experience and knowledge of selling through TPI's (Desirable)
    • Ability to manage high workloads and balance priorities - Strong planning & Organisational skills
    • A proven track record in delivering sales targets across multiple sales channels
    • Experience managing a fast-paced Sales Team
    • First-rate communication and interpersonal skills in order to develop your team.
