We are currently recruiting
Psychology Graduate Support Workers to participate in our Psychology graduate programme at our psychiatric hospital; The Langford Centre, Bexhill on Sea.


Whilst the role is largely ward-based, as part of the nursing team, you will also be involved in the provision of psychology within the hospital, gaining experience in co-facilitating groups; psychological treatment planning; risk assessment and supporting other work undertaken by the psychology team.

You will also have the opportunity to attend reflective practice groups and receive psychology-led supervision.


The Graduate Programme


Bramley Health's Psychology Graduate Training Programme will provide you with the experience, knowledge and skills needed to progress your career in Psychology.


This will give you experience in:

  • A structured therapy such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Training or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills based Training.
  • Mindfulness based therapy
  • Group facilitation Working therapeutically with patients with mental health difficulties
  • Experience of working with patients who may have forensic histories and a range of challenging behaviour ward culture from a psychological perspective
  • Working with lead/senior psychologists
  • Understanding and awareness of risk management
  • Psychological formulation
  • Psychometric administration Working 1 day per month as an assistant psychologist


We aim to provide valuable experience of both working on a ward, and being part of the psychology team, and we hope that this will be a stepping stone towards further psychology posts and an ongoing psychology career.

This will be supported by a reference from a qualified psychologist as appropriate.

Some aspects of the training will be certificated from an external organisation (such as the Association for Psychological Therapies). There will be proof of attendance from Bramley Health for the other aspects of the training.
