    Job Title: Participation and Engagement OperativeReports To: The Designated Partner/CEO

    Position OverviewCoach Operative for participation and engagementThis is an exciting new team role within a dynamic and forward-thinking equestrian organisation to take the lead in developing and implementing opportunities for engagement and development using equine engagement and intervention across our range of courses and programs.The role requires an individual who is keen to help implement and develop our programs to a wide range of ages and abilities using methods and coaching to high standards for horse and rider welfare and progression.The requirements of the job will involve two evenings a week, one weekend day over a five-day working week. This is an opportunity to develop and grow the role with excellent opportunities for further training, qualifications, and development. The working week will consist of between 10 – 40 hours as mutually agreed by both parties, normal paid holidays and pension contributions apply. A key opportunity exists for the successful applicant to take part in a new groundbreaking pilot of coach enhancement award.Skills required are a qualified equestrian professional with a keen interest in using a variety of techniques to improve and enhance the lives of the humans and animals within our environment.A practical assessment of coaching and horse care skills forms a key part of our interview process.

    Essential Job FunctionsAn experienced Lead Coach who is/has:
    •Qualified to a minimum of BHS Stage Three in Complete Horsemanship (BHSAI) /or similar
    •An active member of the BHS Accredited Professional Coach (APC) scheme.
    •A genuine interest in enabling successful development/progression of all participants through an inclusive approach to coaching.
    •Experience in training/teaching/supervising or supporting individuals/groups within their participant cohort range.
