Description

Ward 11 is a 28 bedded mixed specialty medical ward. Our specialties are general medicine & frailty.

On Ward 11 you will be required to work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

There are many opportunities to learn while working on ward 11, we are a busy ward and as a result, we have developed a positive team to support and guide each other.

We are a welcoming, friendly team and work closely together as a multi-disciplinary team to obtain the best outcomes for our patients.

We have a good relationship with our medics, occupational therapist, physiotherapists, specialist nursing teams and onward care team.

We have a strong senior nursing team consisting of ward manager & 3 ward sisters who each support their own sub-team on the ward.

This ensures you always have somebody to go to for support.

The senior nursing team are also proactive in encouraging staff to take ownership of their learning and continuous professional development.

Regular personal development reviews will ensure you have a clear plan for your development for the year.

We have a strong communication network which ensures all staff are kept up to date of current issues on the ward and pride ourselves on promoting a positive ward environment which includes sharing feedback/cards received from patients and their relatives.

We also have an employee of the month and look forward to arranging some team building experiences later in the year.
