We're looking for an Independent Living Trainee Officer to help join us due to internal promotion.


You will work with the Independent Living team to help ensure the delivery of a customer focused service across our independent living portfolio, delivering a high-quality housing, tenancy management and support service.

Working pro-actively with customers and partners (internal and external) you will help to create sustainable and thriving independent living communities, customer independence and deliver an exceptional 'first point of contact resolution' customer experience.


You will be encouraged to be innovative and work autonomously in the delivery of independent living services, with a solution focused approach to overcome challenges and contribute to thriving communities.

Assisting with administration duties relating to tenancy and scheme management, you will learn to effectively use all of our housing management systems and will be a point of communication for both customers and colleagues

You will be supported through your practical, guided learning opportunity with a full training package, plus guidance and support from the Independent Living Team Leader and Independent Living Officers

  • Great organisational skills with the ability to manage and process information accurately
  • Commitment to learning and development
  • Ability to selfmotivate, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Ability to work accurately and able to produce clear, concise and accurate written material
  • A good understanding of how to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good IT skills
  • Understand, promote and comply with customer service & quality initiatives
