    This position requires experience with developing efficient computer vision algorithms on resource-constrained computing platforms on edge.

    You will collaborate with different Amazon teams to make informed decisions on the best practices in machine learning to build highly-optimized integrated hardware and software platforms.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Participate in the design, development, evaluation, deployment and updating of datadriven models for embedded computer vision applications.
    • Research and implement the stateoftheart computer vision and sensor fusion algorithms for resourceconstrained computing platforms on a large scale.
    • Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to design and implement computer vision and machine learning based features for Ring devices
    • Influence system design and product vision by making informed decisions on the selection of technology, data sources, algorithms, and sensors.
    We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

    Cambridge, GBR

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in CS, CE, ML or related field
    • Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly with respect to computer vision algorithms
    • Experience in deep learning models architecture design, training, optimization (e.g., pruning, quantization)
    • Experience programming in C++, Python or related language
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proven track record of innovation in creating novel algorithms and advancing the stateoftheart
    • Experienced in prototyping, designing, implementing and deploying computer vision applications and tools
    • Experience in Vision Language Models and LLMs
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with nontechnical and technical audiences.
    • Exhibits excellent business judgment; balances business, product, and technology very well.
