    Principal Commercial Manager

    Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 plus car allowance and bonus

    Location: Home based with some travel to Wiltshire

    Job description:

    This role will see you lead commercial activities, including taking ownership of contractual matters, compliance, additional works and contract changes to maximise financial performance.

    You will work closely with the contract delivery team, taking collective responsibility for financial and operational performance, liaise with all support function colleagues to support contract performance, and support senior commercial colleagues to deliver functional improvements. This will include identifying works that are out of scope and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue.

    In addition to this, you will commercially deliver the Billable Works programmes, monitor and review Supply Chain performance, carry out the role of Tender Manager for Billable Works and maintain commercial control to ensure planned milestone payments are achieved and final accounts are closed to meet the business targets.

    The primary focus will be change management, providing effective commercial guidance to all stakeholders and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

    This role will be very customer facing, with the expectation that you will be on site in Wiltshire at least once a week, with a further day or two per week on sites across England. Attending meetings where you will provide reports and updates on all commercial matters will be essential and frequent.

    Essential requirements:

    You should be an experienced Principal Commercial Manager from a Facilities Management, Construction, Property Maintenance or similar environment, with a solid understanding of pricing and cost modelling, risk analysis and management, dispute resolution and commercial processes.

    It is important that you have demonstrable experience with client engagement, with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and a collaborative working environment, as well as the ability to motivate through clear and effective direction, delegation, decision making and strive for excellence.

    Experience of working with Government or Local Authority clients would be an advantage in this position.
