    Job Title: Customer Account Specialist

    Reporting to: Internal Sales Manager

    This is an in-house role based in Crawley.

    The candidate must also satisfy (1), (2) or (3) below:

    1) Be degree qualified (preferably now applying for their second career move in full time post-graduation employment)**

    2) Have previous experience of processing quotations or experience in sales support (e.g. supporting Sales Managers / processing quotations / administration for sales / processing sales orders)

    Qualifications / Skills

    Essential:

    Interest and ability to understand and learn the technical properties/data of the diverse product range

    Confident with good communication skills to liaise with our extensive range of worldwide customers and internal departments.

    Meticulous, accurate with a keen eye for detail.

    Ability to work under pressure, taking responsibility for orders received, quotations, projects and customer interactions to fully support the sales department.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, reacting to quick changes effectively.

    Fluent written and spoken English.

    Advantageous:

    Previous experience of order processing skills and exporting overseas (INCOterms)

    An education with a technical, science or engineering background.

    Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office.

    Experience of an MRP / ERP system (Preferably Dynamics 365)

    Bi-lingual – offering a foreign language especially in Japanese.

    Training

    Full training will be provided by mentors who will guide you through the sales order processing, quotations and sales support tasks.

    Training will focus on:

    • Diverse and evolving product range. (This will involve some time in production to get "hands on" experience with the product).
    • Order processing, quotation and sales support procedures and tools.
    • The company ERP system.
    • General computer and email procedures.

    Job Description

    1. Acting as first point of contact for all Customer Account enquiries and orders received via phone and email, in a timely and professional manner.
    2. Processing sales/service orders with accuracy and efficiency ensuring proper configuration, pricing and delivery scheduling from initial enquiry, order intake, order fulfilment, shipment through to invoice.
    3. Taking ownership for the entire life cycle of the order and act as liaison between Engineering, Production, Service and Accounts departments.
    4. Maintain complete and accurate order files ensuring all information is kept up to date.
    5. Keeping updated with the full GEW product range.
    6. Effectively setting priorities in order to meet workload deadlines and commitments.
    7. Preparation of sales quotations for the full GEW product range.
    8. This encompasses organising the technical and commercial support data required for the preparation of the quotation and presenting this for ease of checking.
    9. Communicating the said pertinent information within the quotation to the Sales Manager or Customer.
    10. To ensure the quotation folder has all the relevant information required to easily process and check when converted into an order.
    11. Reviewing factory confirmed despatch dates against requested despatch date and take appropriate action to align the dates as closely as possible.
    12. Proactively monitor order status to committed lead times and communicate job progress effectively.
    13. Escalating issues appropriately and promptly to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
    14. Ensuring established processes are followed and adjusted when more efficient ways of working are introduced and agreed and support the implementation of new systems.
    15. Preparing all necessary trade / export / import documents according to the applicable commercial laws and regulations and ensuring freight is booked to customer requirements.
    16. Any other duties as reasonably requested.

    Remuneration

    Salary: graduate = £27,000 - £29,000. Some exp. = £30,000 - £32,000

    Monday to Friday: 08:45 – 17:15.

    Pension upon joining the company.

    Life assurance, after qualifying probationary period (6 months).

    Private healthcare and increased pension contributions after further qualifying period (2 full calendar yrs)

    Out of pocket expenses reimbursed – if travel is required.

    • 33 days holiday, including Bank Holidays. After long service holiday increases further.
